Allen Dale Pruisner, age 83, passed into his heavenly home on January 14, 2025. Born in Waterloo, Iowa to Carrie Hattie (Hemmen) Pruisner and Raymond Pruisner, he was a beloved brother and son.
He graduated from Parkersburg High School where he joined the basketball, football, baseball, and band. He joined the Air Force in 1960. After his service, we worked at a local restaurant, Bob and Ellies. He was a very active man, not only continuing his love for sports post-high school but adding dancing and bowling. He continued his talent for the cornet by playing taps at military funerals. In 2019, Allen would marry his beloved wife, Jacqueline Camle, whom he shared many precious memories with. Overall, Allen was a loving and kind man, who loved people. Allen is preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline; his parents, Raymond and Hattie Pruisner; and his brother, Keith Duane Pruisner.
He is survived by his daughter, Erika Hatcher; his three grandchildren, Jess, Jake, and Josh; his two great-grandchildren, Noah and Peneolpe; his two sisters, Darlene and Jim Morris and Denise and Jack Schmalz; his brother, Jim, and Teresa Pruisner; and a host of family and friends.
A funeral service will be held in Allen's honor on January 31, 2025, at Saint Paul United Methodist Church at 10:00am, officiated by Pastor Steve Poarch, with an internment into the Fort Smith National Cemetery following the service at 11:00am. Cremation under the care of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
