Amanda Lee Yocum

Amanda Lee Yocum, age 31, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away at her home on September 21, 2025. She was born on December 5, 1993, in Fort Smith to Tammy (Yocum) Hobbs.

Amanda graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Arkansas Fort Smith and was employed with a guidance center. She was a devoted mother who loved spending time with her son, Dallas, enjoyed crafting and expressing her creativity, and listening to music.

Amanda will be remembered for her infectious smile and her ability to brighten any room she entered. She had a gift for making others feel loved and supported, standing beside her family and friends in both good times and difficult ones. Amanda gave freely from her heart, and her kindness and laughter will continue to live on in the many lives she touched. Amanda will be remembered as a beautiful daughter, a loving partner, and an extraordinary mother. Her legacy of love, generosity, and laughter will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her mother, Tammy Hobbs; her fiancé, Devin Smothers; her son, Dallas Smothers; stepbrothers Pete Hobbs and Ben Hobbs and wife Ally; stepsister Katy Kehler; and her nieces, nephews, and cousins, including Cameron Kehler, Logan Kehler, River Yates, and Rowan Floyd Hobbs. She also leaves behind many dear friends who cherished her deeply.

Amanda was preceded in death by her stepfather, Jerry Hobbs, and her grandparents, Billy and Wilma Yocum.

A visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Lewis Funeral Chapel. A Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Spradling Baptist Church with Bro. Don Bradford officiating. Pallbearers will be Brad Yocum, Kacie Yocum, Nick Yocum, Tyler McLaughlin, Emily McLaughlin, Hannah Erb, Kristen Dorsey, Alexis Childers, Alicia Stevenson, and Kristan Williams. Graveside service to follow at Oak Cemetery. Services under the care of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
