Angeline Kelsey Obituary

Angeline Kelsey, age 95, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at home on February 1, 2026.

Angeline was born on June 12, 1930, in Anvik, Alaska, to Charles and Margaret (Jarue) Wulf. She grew up in Alaska and later attended college, completing two years of nursing education.

On December 6, 1952, she married D.J. Kelsey in Fairbanks, Alaska. Family was everything to Angeline, and she dedicated herself to raising their children and building a loving home. After being widowed during the Vietnam War in 1969, she showed remarkable strength and devotion, raising her four boys on her own.

Angeline enjoyed sewing, collecting postcards, and was known for her patience and care in everything she did. Earlier in life, she also worked as a Blue Bonnet Butter model. She was a faithful member of Temple Baptist Church. Angeline will be remembered as a devoted mother, a resilient woman of faith, and the steady heart of her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Margaret Wulf; her husband, D.J. Kelsey; her sons, David Kelsey and Roger Kelsey; and her siblings, Leona, Martha, Charles, and Marvin.

Angeline is survived by her son, Robert Kelsey and his wife, Cheryl, of Gans, Oklahoma; her son, James Kelsey and his wife, Chasity, of Fort Smith, Arkansas; and her daughter-in-law, Linda Kelsey, of Cromwell, Oklahoma. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, as well as many extended family members and friends who loved her deeply.
