Annona Burns Obituary

Annona Leah Burns, age 62, entered her heavenly home on March 5, 2026. She was born on September 24, 1963, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Harold Dean and Clara Jane (Linton) Binyon.
On June 22, 1985, Annona married the love of her life, David Burns, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Together they shared 40 wonderful years of marriage and built a life centered on faith, family, and love. She attended Oklahoma Christian College and later the University of Arkansas, where she studied Business. Annona most recently worked in the credit department at Baldor Electric. In her free time, Annona enjoyed cooking, traveling, and especially spending time visiting her son, Race.

She was a faithful member of West Ark Church of Christ, where she devoted much of her time to the children’s ministry and teaching Bible school. Annona will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife and mother who cherished her husband and son deeply. Her joyful spirit and unmistakable, hearty laugh were often the loudest in the room and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Annona is survived by her cherished husband of 40 years, David Burns; her beloved son, Race Burns and his wife, Emily; her brother, Lance Binyon; her sister-in-law, Diane Binyon; as well as a host of extended family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Clara Jane Binyon; her brother, Clay Binyon; and her sister-in-law, Monica Binyon.
