Anthony “Andy” Carl Hanna, age 51, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at his home on August 20, 2025. He was born on August 25, 1973, in San Diego, California, to Anita Wofford.
Andy was raised in Hackett, Fort Smith, and the Mountainburg area of Arkansas. He built a career working in landscaping, construction, home improvement, and tree work. Known for his strong work ethic and dedication, he took pride in every job he did.
Outside of work, Andy enjoyed the outdoors, camping, bicycling, and music. A little-known fact was that he played the drums—and actually played them rather well. He was a man of Christian faith and lived out his beliefs through kindness—always willing to lend a hand, even to those he did not know.
Andy will be remembered as a great friend and a caring soul who deeply loved his family, friends, and his faithful dog, Chubbs.
He is survived by his brother, Fred McBride; close friends Shandreka Allred, April and Jerome Geels, Andrew and Adrian Whatley, J.W. Williams, and many others who were like family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Anita Wofford.
A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday evening, September 27, 2025, at Fort Smith Park.
