Antonio Enrigue Rodriguez, age 70, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born on January 21, 1956, in Havana, Cuba, to Antonio Rubio and Margarita Cernada.
Antonio married the love of his life, San Juanita Rodriguez, on May 25, 1991. Together, they shared nearly 35 years of marriage filled with love and devotion. He spent much of his career working as a machine operator in maintenance and retired from Tyson after 15 years of dedicated service.
In his free time, Antonio enjoyed watching baseball, especially cheering on his favorite team, the Atlanta Braves. He had a natural rhythm and loved to dance with his own unique flair, and he found joy in all kinds of music. Above all, Antonio cherished his family, treasuring every moment spent with his grandchildren and loved ones at family gatherings.
Antonio will be remembered as a devoted family man who was always present for the important moments in his grandchildren’s lives. Known for his vibrant personality, he brought energy and joy wherever he went and was truly the life of the party.
He is survived by his beloved wife, San Juanita of Fort Smith, Arkansas; two daughters, Marisol (Stephen) Davis and Margarita (Matthew Booker) Rodriguez; six grandchildren, Katherine (Devon), Hannah, Andrew, Antonio, Charlotte, and Mateo; one great-grandchild, Noah; and his siblings, Carlos Guillen of Florida and Yoan Franco of Cuba.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio Rubio and Margarita Cernada; his brother, Raphael; and his sister, Esmeralda.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, with Devon Dundee officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Antonio’s Memorial Fund. Services are entrusted to Lewis Funeral Chapel.
