Bill Don Moore, age 88, of Van Buren, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025. Born and raised in Van Buren, he was the beloved son of Floyd and Pheobe Moore.
Bill proudly served his country in the United States Army, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to duty and service. Following his time in the military, he worked diligently for many years at Whirlpool. Outside of his professional life, Bill had a passion for antiques, vinyl records, and music, treasures that reflected his appreciation for the past and his love for meaningful, timeless items. His joy for life was most evident in the time he spent with family. A devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather, Bill was always smiling and brought warmth and kindness wherever he went. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and dedication that will be remembered by all who knew him.
He is survived by his two daughters: Shellie Dawn (Moore) Ragains and Kelly Ann (Moore) Gamble, and husband Michael; three grandchildren: Kary Audrey Myers, Colton Jay Ragains, and Kyle Hunter Morrison; and one great-grandchild, Cartyr Hayes Nelson. He is also survived by his two brothers, Ronnie Moore and Joe Moore; and his nephew, Randy Moore.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Phyllis Moore; his parents, Floyd Moore and Pheobe Moore; his two brothers: Ivan Moore and Dale Moore; and his sister, Dorothy Smith.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Lewis Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Lewis Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery.
