Billy Ray Spivey, age 78, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024, at Mercy Hospital. Born on March 25, 1946, in Marlow, Oklahoma, he was the son of Pete and Maydell (Lewis) Spivey. A passionate fan of the University of Oklahoma, Bill was especially devoted to OU Softball, proudly claiming the title of "superfan." In his free time, he enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, always eager to cheer them on and support their achievements. Bill was known for his kind heart and his willingness to help others. Though his family would describe him as stubborn at times, they also remember him as a true sweetheart—generous and selfless, always ready to lend a hand or offer a kind word.
