Bobby Jurl Arnold, age 89, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, at his home in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on November 23, 1936 in Mulberry, Arkansas, to the late Lee Arnold and Ruby (Swofford) Arnold.
Bobby proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army. On February 19, 1966, he married the love of his life, Sandra (Stephens) Arnold, and together they shared nearly 60 wonderful years of marriage built on faith, devotion, and love.
Bobby found great joy in the outdoors. Whether he was hunting, fishing, or camping, he cherished the peace and simple pleasures that nature provided. A man of strong Christian faith, he loved the Lord with all his heart and sought to live his life as a reflection of that faith.
Above all else, Bobby was a kind and gentle soul who treasured his family. The time he spent with them meant more to him than anything, and he will be remembered for his unwavering love, steady presence, and the warmth he brought to those closest to him.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Arnold; one brother, Norman Rodgers; as well as numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. He is preceded in passing by his parents, Lee and Ruby Arnold; one brother, Billy Lee Arnold; and one sister, Mary Ann Sleeper.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Bobby's kind and compassionate nurses and aids of Heart of Hospice, who cared for him and his family in the time leading to his passing.
Bobby will be laid to rest at the Fort Smith National cemetery.
