Bonieca Lynn Boatright, 64 passed away peacefully in her home on January 18, 2025. She was born to Buddy and Beverly Roberson Boatright in Oilton, Texas and was a loving daughter and sister.
Bonieca graduated from Oilton High School and later married her devoted husband, Jimmie Boatright. Together, they built a life filled with love and community. Bonieca worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and was deeply involved in charitable causes, frequently organizing fundraisers to support American veterans and women’s shelters. She had a passion for finding great deals, particularly when it came to decorating her home. Bonieca was known for her kind heart, always willing to lend a helping hand, and she made friends wherever she went.
Bonieca was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jimmie Boatright; her father, Buddy Nicholson; and her grandparents, TJ and Norene Roberson.
She is survived by her two children, Shawnee Dirden and Kanisha (Jason) Bradshaw; three grandchildren; her mother, Beverly Roberson; her sister, Brandi (Robert) Bolton; her nephew, Dane (Kelsey) Bolton; as well as many dear friends, including Brenda Ruttle, Christina Gregory, Sue Lane, Peggy Perkins, and others who cherished her friendship.
In honoring Bonieca’s wishes, there will be no formal service. She will be interred at Fort Smith National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a women’s shelter of your choice. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Lewis Funeral Chapel.
