Bryan Ward Patrick, 75, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Born on November 11, 1949, in Lomita, California, he was the cherished son of Oscar Lee Patrick and Marjorie Fish.
After graduating high school, Bryan honorably served his country in the United States Coast Guard as a diesel mechanic during the Vietnam War. In 1973, while in Thailand, he met and married the love of his life, Wanna (Kaewphonglek) Patrick. Together, they shared 52 years of love, devotion, and adventure.
Bryan dedicated much of his career to working as a tile contractor in his father’s business, where he spent 20 years before retiring. A man of many talents and interests, he had a deep passion for electrical engineering and enjoyed tinkering with small machines. He was an avid gamer, with an impressive collection of both retro and modern gaming systems, and had a particular love for pinball. Bryan also enjoyed spending time at the beach.
Known for his intelligence, creativity, and warm spirit, Bryan loved spending time with his family and sharing meaningful conversations. He will be fondly remembered as a devoted husband and father. Bryan’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Bryan is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Wanna Patrick of Fort Smith, Arkansas; his son, Sitthipong "Bomb" Kaewphonglek and wife Patricia of Russellville, Arkansas; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kevin Patrick and Darrin Fish; and one sister, Shannon Pederson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Patrick and Marjorie Fish.
A Committal Service will be held at the Fort Smith National Cemetery at a later time. Cremation is under the thoughtful direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
