Calvin Odell Eubanks, age 68, passed away on February 19, 2026 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on June 11, 1957 in Spiro, Oklahoma to Lonnie and Alberta (Shoate) Eubanks.
Calvin married Grace Lavern (Jones) Eubanks on May 24, 2023, beginning a chapter of life that brought him great joy and companionship. In his free time, he enjoyed watching baseball and basketball, spending peaceful hours fishing, and firing up the grill for family barbecues. More than anything, however, Calvin cherished time spent with his family and friends, creating memories filled with laughter and love.
A man of the Baptist faith, Calvin carried his beliefs with quiet strength and sincerity. He will be remembered for his quick wit, his contagious laughter, and his remarkable ability to light up a room the moment he walked in.
Calvin is survived by his three grandchildren, Kinley Metz, Kaiden Eubanks, and Kennedi Eubanks; his seven siblings, Plezenia Paden, Regenia Clayton, Bobbie Palmer, Lonnie Edward Eubanks, Celestine Johnson and husband Linwood "Jay", Carolyn Eubanks, Tonjia Waldon and husband Brett; close friends, Greg Scott, Allen Walker, Daryl Steele, Ernest Nero Jr.; as well as his mother-in-law, brother-in-law, five sister-in-laws, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calvin is preceded in passing by beloved parents, Lonnie and Alberta (Shoate) Eubanks; his loving wife, Grace Lavern (Jones) Eubanks; his two sons, Calvin Davante Eubanks and Calvin Odell Eubanks Jr.; as well as his siblings, Johnie Mae Washington, Oscar Eubanks, and Vermer McPherson.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00a.m. on Saturday February 28, 2026 at Lewis Funeral Chapel with Pastor Tashala Devrow to officiate. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Lohnel Eubanks, Tyrone Clayton, Michael Waldon, Anthony Eubanks, Avery Eubanks, Charles Wilson, Ricky Washington, and Paul Eubanks. Services are intrusted to Lewis Funeral Chapel.
