Charles Wayne Melton

Charles Wayne Melton, known lovingly as "Buddy" by his family and friends, passed away on April 5, 2025. He was born to Charles and Minnie (Kreeran) Melton, and was a cherished son, brother, and friend.

Buddy worked diligently as a construction laborer and found joy in the simple pleasure of driving. He was known for his hardworking nature and his deep love for those around him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Minnie Melton, his sister Betty Ashmoe, and his nephew, Buddy Burks Sr.

Buddy is survived by his two beloved dogs, Piper and Little Boo; his sister, Deborah Burks; his nieces, Sandra Streweler and Crystal Ashmore; and his nephews, Charles Burks, Thomas Ashmore Jr., and Bobby Ashmore.

At this time, no formal services will be held. Cremation has been entrusted to Lewis Funeral Chapel.
