David Lee Foster, 55 of Van Buren, Arkansas passed away on November 20, 2024 after a brief illness. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Clarice Jean Foster, and grand-daughter Olivia Amon. He is survived by his longtime companion and love Helen Woodall. His daughter Jodie Foster of Alma, and grandchildren Eli Nguyen, Abigail Amon, Emily Amon and Noralyn Foster. His brother Chuck Foster and spouse Roxie of Mansfield. His sisters, Sheree Turner and spouse Bill Proffitt of Van Buren and Tina Foster-Francis and spouse Paul Franics, of Guthrie, Oklahoma. Multiple nieces and nephews and great-nieces, who all thought the world of David.
David was a talented mechanic and automotive restoration specialist. He was remarkable for his ability to master anything with wheels. A true Mopar fan, who spent most of his free time at Centerville Dragway. Speed was in his blood; his cross country trips were epic, and sixty mile an hour go-karts are legendary. "Hey Dave"? "I'll be right there". David was always our first call, willing to help, listen and teach. Not a large man, but he had a big heart and amazing spirit. His kindness and generosity will be greatly missed.
He was cremated under the services of Lewis Funeral Chapel. A celebration of his life is pending the start of drag racing season.
