David Allen Sluder, 40, passed away peacefully at his home in Springdale, Arkansas, on January 14, 2025. Born on October 5, 1984, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, he was the cherished son of Bonnie Ann (Trahan) Sluder and Richard Carl Sluder.
David found his calling in the culinary arts, working as a chef and bringing his creativity to the kitchen. Outside of work, he loved immersing himself in the world of video games, often fighting off hordes of zombies, battling wizards, and indulging in intergalactic travel. His vibrant personality made him the life of the party, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
David is survived by his child, Ender Ray Sluder; one sister, Danielle Sluder; along with nieces and nephews, Keegan Sluder, Miah Sluder, Parker Sluder, and Esmeralda Hernandez.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Steep Hill Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Pastor Sid Ree is to officiate. Pallbearers will be Kyle Wilbanks, Tony Jordan, Joe Foughty, Michael Etheredge, Michael Francis and Ben Scharfenburg. Honorary Pallbearers will be Keegan Sluder. Services are entrusted to Lewis Funeral Chapel.
