Donna Joyce Cole

Donna Joyce Cole, 77, of Lavaca, Arkansas, passed on to her heavenly home, Sunday, September 22nd, 2024. She was born to Dewey and Cecial (Wilson) Inge on January 4, 1947. Donna married the love of her life, Jackie Cole, on March 25, 1962, in Spiro, Oklahoma, and together they built a beautiful life over the next 62 years. A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, she will be deeply missed by the many lives she touched. Donna dedicated herself to her career at Rheem Manufacturing, where she eventually retired. A woman of strong faith, she spent her life living and serving the Lord. Her church held great importance to her; she played the piano and sang, deriving immense joy from music. Donna often shared her talent by singing the National Anthem at several different events throughout Arkansas. In her leisure time, she enjoyed fishing, singing bluegrass music, and attending the Turkey Track Festival.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jackie Cole; her cherished children, Jeffery Cole of Lavaca, Kathy Moore of Fort Smith, Stanley and Tamie Cole of Fort Smith, Shawn Cole and Shelly of Lavaca; as well as her grandchildren, Vanessa Smitherman, Jessica Moore, Ty Cole, Hayli Brown, Drake Cole, Kinley Cole, Ashliegh Hattaway, and Aerial Hutchinson, along with fourteen great-grandchildren, Christian, Hannah, Hunter, EllaRae, DaleRay, Kaylee, David, Everette, Ruthie, Everli, Rileigh, Emma, Jase and Courtney Preceding Donna in death were her parents, Dewey and Cecial Inge; grand-daughter Stephany Cole and her six siblings. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 26th, 2024 at the Lewis Funeral Chapel, 255 AR-96, Lavaca, Arkansas. Funeral Service officiated by Willie Flynn and DeWayne Hicks will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 27, 2024, also at the Lewis Funeral Chapel in Lavaca, with burial to follow at the Mayberry Cemetery, located at 2675-2897 East Central Avenue, Lavaca, Arkansas. Pallbearers for the service will include Ty Cole, Christian Smitherman, Randy Overbey, Jimmy Overbey, Josh Brown, and Riliegh Hattaway, while honorary pallbearers are Drake Cole, Dalton Moore, and Michael Hicks.
