Dontray Reshawn McReynolds

Dontray Reshawn McReynolds, 26, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Baptist Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Born on April 12, 1998, in Fort Smith, he was a beloved son of Calvin Dewayne Myers and Rochelle Charice McReynolds.
During high school, Dontray met the love of his life, Ajaney Alyssa Shelton, and from that moment on, they were inseparable. Known as high school sweethearts, they spent years building a life together and were engaged to be married.

A gifted writer, producer, and singer, Dontray had a deep passion for music and a natural creative talent. His infectious energy made him the life of the party, and his humor earned him the title of "comedian" among his friends and family. Despite his playful spirit, he was also known for his kindness, respect, and deep love for his family. Above all, he was a devoted son, grandson, fiancé, and father, and he proudly embraced his role as a "grandma’s boy." Dontray was loved by all, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Dontray is survived by his loving parents, Calvin Myers and Rochelle McReynolds; his cherished fiance, Ajaney Alyssa Shelton; his beloved daughter, Nylah; and one child on the way, Mylah; two brothers, Demario McReynolds; and Kendall Myers; one sister, Iesha McReynolds; his soon to be mother in law, Jamela Shelton; along with a host of beloved cousins, and extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Dennis McReynolds. Cremation is under the thoughtful direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
