Dorothy Elizabeth Logan, age 99, joined her heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 29th, 2024, at Ashton Place in Barling, Arkansas. Born July 24th, 1925 in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Dorothy was the Beloved daughter of William Agusta Thomas and Lillian (White) Thomas. After marrying the love of her life, Arthur Harold Logan, she was a homemaker, spending her life caring for her family and loving the Lord diligently. Dorothy was devoted christian woman who believed that her faith is paramount. She was a believer in the importance of evangelism and ministering the word and work of her savior Jesus Christ. She lived her faith through her 90 year membership of the First Baptist Church of Fort Smith. Next to her love for the Lord, her world revolved around her love and devotion to her family. Dorothy deeply enjoyed caring for and spending time with her family, especially her grand children and great- grand children.
Dorothy is survived by one daughter, Terri Ray and fiance Kenny; three grandchildren, Aaron Ray and wife kate, Christopher Ray and wife Lisa, Kimberly Brown and husband Donald; four great-grand children, Charlotte Ray, Griffin Ray, Zackery Brown and wife Rachel, Madison Brown and fiance Caleb Sanders; one sister, Anice McKinney; her late daughter's husband, Ronald Wells and wife Betty; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.Dorothy is preceded in passing by her beloved husband of years, Arthur Harold Logan; her loving parents, William Agusta Thomas and Lillian (White) Thomas, one daughter, Janice Wells; two brothers, Billy Thomas and Donald Thomas; and a son in law, Michael Ray.
There will be an all day viewing on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Located at 4817 Kelley Highway, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, November 1, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Fort Smith, Located at 1400 Grand Avenue, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Interment will Follow at Roselawn Cemetery. In lieu of flower, the family has requested that you make a donation to the First Baptist Church of Fort Smiths children's ministry.
