Edith Johansen

Edith-Ann Johansen, 81, peacefully passed into her heavenly home on March 15, 2025. Born on April 24, 1943, in Springfield, New Jersey, she was the beloved daughter of Askel Andreas and Edith (Oyala) Johansen.
Edith-Ann was a devoted homemaker who poured her heart into her family, ensuring they were always surrounded by love and care. Her life was grounded in strong faith, and she was a faithful Christian whose kindness touched all who knew her. Known for her warm and welcoming spirit, Edith-Ann never met a stranger. In her quiet moments, she enjoyed reading and writing poetry, finding peace in the written word.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Askel and Edith Johansen, and two beloved children: Robin Sportelli and David Huelsenbeck.
Edith-Ann's enduring legacy of love and faith will live on through her surviving family: her three children, Penny-Ann Hernandez of Manchester, NJ; Jo-Ann Blackwell of Van Buren, AR; and Bryron Huelsenbeck of Greenwood, AR; her nine grandchildren, Jose Hernandez, Miguel Hernandez, Jolene Huelsenbeck, Holly Davis, Michael Huelsenbeck, Cody Huelsenbeck, Jacob Huelsenbeck, Amber, and Jacob; as well as her twelve great-grandchildren.
In honor of Edith-Ann's wishes, the family will privately remember her life. Cremation services entrusted to Lewis Funeral Chapel.
