Elta Gweneth Props

Elta Gweneth Props, lovingly known as "Nana" to her family and friends, passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on March 21, 2025, at Ashton Place Health and Rehabilitation in Barling, Arkansas. Born on July 7, 1931, in Sanger, California, Elta was the cherished daughter of Otis Pierce and Carrie Medlock. A dedicated homemaker, she found immense joy in caring for her home, preparing meals, and most of all, nurturing her family. Her greatest pride was raising her children, whom she loved dearly.

Elta is survived by her three sons, Rodney Props and his wife Jody, Rocky Props and wife Teri, and Richie Props, all of California; her daughter-in-law, Sharon Props of California; son-in-law, Jerry Bias of Lavaca, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Travis Winchester and wife Katrina, Rusty Winchester and wife Krysta, and Alicia Dooly, all of Lavaca, Arkansas; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her two sisters, Darlene Fiducia of Oregon and Beverly Dick of California.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Carrie Pierce; her beloved husband, Royce Props; her sons, Randy Props and Robby Props; and her daughter, Rhonda Bias.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during an open viewing on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Chapel, located at 4817 Kelley Hwy in Fort Smith, Arkansas. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Mayberry Cemetery in Central City, Arkansas, with Brother Buddy Corbell officiating.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of Ashton Place Health and Rehabilitation for their dedicated care. Elta’s legacy of love and devotion to her family will forever be cherished.
