Esther Pike Obituary

Esther Louise Pike, age 88, of Barling, Arkansas, passed away on March 2, 2026. Born on May 28, 1937, in Kingston, New York, Esther was the daughter of Charles L. Fisher and Julia E. (Bell) Fisher. She carried with her the strength and resilience of her early years, qualities that would define her life and the way she loved those around her.

Esther proudly served her country in the United States Air Force from January 1956 to June 1957, stationed at an Air Force base in Colorado. Her service reflected her dedication, courage, and steady spirit. On October 17, 1964, she married Bobby G. Pike in Las Vegas, Nevada. Family was the heart of Esther’s life. She found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals. She will be remembered as a strong and caring woman who deeply loved her family and devoted her life to them.

She is survived by her children: Dan Tedder and wife Tina of California; Susie Cooley and husband Shannon of Van Buren; and Tonya Bur of Barling; her eleven grandchildren: Shawna, Brian, Preston, Chris, Laura, Justin, Janina, Zeke, Kaitlynn, Kevin, and Karisa; and her 23 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Ellen Barrick and Richard Fisher, as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Esther is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby ;her parents; her son, Kevin Lynn Pike; and her siblings, Bill Fisher and Betty Huddleston.

A committal service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, where Military Honors will be performed. The family will host a gathering following the committal service. Arrangements are under the care of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
