Evelyn Dean (Spoon) Robbins, 90, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away January 16, 2025, at a local nursing home. She was born December 25, 1934, in Charleston, Arkansas, to the late Granvil and Velma Mantooth Spoon. She was a lifelong member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Fort Smith for over 70 years.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a licensed cosmetologist. She was active in her church, filled many positions there, from church clerk, Sunday school secretary, and benevolent committee. She is preceded in death, by her parents; husband, Ralph Robbins; son, Roy Robbins; and grandchildren, Jennifer Carter and Brandon Robbins.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Robbins Carter (Billy) of Greenwood; Philip Robbins (Ronda) of Fort Smith; Tanya Franklin (Mike) of Van Buren; daughter-in-law, Jan Robbins; sisters, Jerri and Martha Robbins; brothers, GJ Spoon of Waco, TX; and Harold Spoon, of Greenwood. Grandchildren, Ray, Nicholas, and Evan Robbins; Jacob and Ryan Franklin; Steven and Jason Carter. Great-grandchildren: MaKayla, Parker Owen, Matthew, Ashley, Jenna, Morgan, Ethan, Abby, Seaton, Jodie, Marshall, Tucker, Walker and Parker.
Great-great-grandchildren: Beckham, Blakely, and Remy.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Lewis Funeral Chapel, located at 4817 Kelley Hwy in Fort Smith, AR 72904. The Funeral Service will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at First Free Will Baptist Church, located at 4001 Armour Street in Fort Smith, AR 72904. Interment will follow the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, located at 522 Garland Ave in Fort Smith, AR 72901. Pastor Ernie Imler is to officiate. Pallbearers will be Grandsons and Great Grandsons.
