George Wayne Head

George Wayne Head, Age 65, passed away on October 31, 2025 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born on March 8, 1960, in Fayetteville, Arkansas to John Edward and Faye Louise (Littrel) Head. 

George was a man whose life exemplified dedication and hard work. For more than 25 years, he proudly served as a heavy equipment operator with Denali Water Solutions, where his strong work ethic and reliability earned the respect of his colleagues. On July 24, 1981, George married the love of his life, Mildred Annette Head, and together they made love filled memories. Outside of work, George found joy in the simple pleasures of life—casting a line on a quiet day of fishing, playing his beloved banjo, and cherishing every moment spent with his family. Above all, he will be remembered as a devoted family man whose love and commitment touched the lives of all who knew him. 

George is survived by his four children, Tia Bishop and Derek Guyette, Kevin Head and spouse Jodi, Kimberly Carr and spouse Joshua, Billy head and spouse Amanda; eleven grandchildren, Kevin Jr., Christa Kay, Shelby, Zackary, Brandon, Hailee, Austyn, Madison, Hayden, Brayden, Lyla; as well as 5 great-grandchildren. George is preceded in passing by his Beloved wife, Mildred Annette Head; as well as his parents, John Edward and Faye Louise (Littrel) Head. 

A Visitation will be held from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Lewis Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 3:00p.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2025, also a Lewis funeral chapel, with Pastor Quinton Rowan to Officiate. Honorary Pallbearers will be Zackary Carr, Brandon Bishop, Austyn Head, and Hayden Head. The family will host a reception at George's home following the service. All services are under the care of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
