James Uris Howley, age 63, passed away on September 17, 2024 in Mansfield, Arkansas. Born April 17, 1961 in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri to Billy Kyle Howley and Iris (Hart) Steele. James was a dedicated worker, having held a career in tile service for many years. His hobbies included photography, riding ATVs, exploring mountains, and fishing. In his free time, he could often be found watching Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune, playing along from the comfort of his home. James will be dearly missed by a host of family and friends.
He is survived by his two children, Kyle Howley of Anchorage, Alaska; and Shelby Howley of Poteau, Oklahoma; his parents, Iris and James Steele of Mansfield, Arkansas; and two sisters, Barbara (Howley) Townsend and Lynn Scott of Puyallup, Washington; and Dorothy Howley and Burl Sainsbury of Yakima, Washington. James is preceded in death by his brother, Billy Howley. Cremation is under the thoughtful direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
