Jewel Dean Jandrisovitz, age 95, passed away peacefully in her home on April 17, 2025. Born on February 20, 1930, in Midland, Arkansas, to John and Flora (Reed) Lawrence, Jewel was the sixth of eleven cherished children.
Jewel led a full and vibrant life, working as an electronic inspector, and finding joy in the hustle and sparkle of Las Vegas, where she worked in a gift shop and found excitement in the nearby casinos. She was an outgoing spirit, always ready with a smile and a story, and her love of life was contagious to all who knew her.
An avid bowler and puzzle enthusiast, Jewel loved walking in beautiful weather and simply enjoying the little things in life. She embraced every moment with a sense of wonder and gratitude. One of her proudest and most adventurous moments was flying alone to Taiwan to meet her only grandson, a journey that perfectly captured her fearless and loving nature. Jewel was a devout Christian who loved the Lord deeply. She lived her life with faith and grace, and she was ready to meet her Savior with peace in her heart, Often saying, "I can only imagine when I get to Heaven and see Jesus!"
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Jandrisovitz; her beloved son, Bob Leek; her parents; five brothers; and four sisters.
Jewel is survived by her beloved grandson, Michael Leek; her great-grandson, Logan Leek, both who brought her immeasurable joy; her loving sister, Opal Owens; and many dear friends whose lives she touched with kindness, laughter, and light.
