Jimmy Lee Garner

Jimmy Lee Garner, age 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 5, 2025, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on August 11, 1945, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to his beloved parents, Woodrow Elmer Garner and Helen Irene (Taylor) Garner.

Jimmy proudly served his country for 20 years in the United States Air Force, dedicating his life to honor, duty, and hard work. In 1967, he married the love of his life, Catherine Mayfield-Garner, and together they shared 58 wonderful years filled with devotion and companionship.

In his quiet moments, Jimmy found joy in the simple things like spending time with his beloved pets, wood working, and repairing televisions.

Jimmy is survived by his beloved daughter, Rebecca Lawson and husband David. He is preceded in passing by his parents Woodrow Elmer Garner and Helen Irene (Taylor) Garner; and his son, Jeffery Garner.

A private interment will be held at the Fort Smith National Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Lewis Funeral Chapel.
