John Dennis Hambrick, age 65, of Alma, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025, at Mercy Hospice. Born on September 6, 1959, in Abilene, Texas, John was the beloved son of JoAnn Hambrick and the late Dearl Wayne Hambrick.
John graduated from Russellville High School in Russellville, Arkansas, and later attended South Arkansas College in El Dorado. He worked in the food industry as a chef throughout his life and was known for his generous spirit and love of cooking. One of his greatest joys was preparing meals and sharing them with his neighbors. John will be remembered for his kind, caring, and generous nature. He always carried a positive attitude and a warm heart, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He is survived by his mother, JoAnn Hambrick of Fort Smith, AR; siblings Cynthia Bocksnick and husband Randy of Fort Smith, AR, Kenneth Hambrick of Booneville, AR, and David Hambrick of Oklahoma; nieces Nikki, Joanna, Melissa, and Stephanie; nephews Ehren and Christopher. He also leaves behind his best and closest friend Gary Tanner, who was through the highs and lows, his caretaker, and who shared a bond that will not be broken by death.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dearl Wayne Hambrick; and sister, Diane Baker.
There will be no service at this time. Cremation under the care of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
