Juanita Faye Polk, 83 of Fort Smith, flew into the arms of her Savior on April 18, 2025. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. There was nothing she loved more in this life than her church, her family and friends, and ice cream. Juanita was born February 12, 1942 in Pocola, Oklahoma to the late Lewis and Beulah Tucker.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold.
She was the mother of four sons: Dean Polk (Marissa), Bryan Polk (Kim), Mark Polk (Tanya), and Tim Polk (deceased). She is also survived by one brother: Chuck Tucker and wife Minnie, thirteen grandchildren: Jared, Caleb, Christen, Kenneth, Loretta, Amber, Coral, Hannah, Jonathon, Michaela, Matthew, Abigail, and Hadassah, seventeen great- grandchildren: Jaxson, Braylon, Connor, Nathan, Amelia, Sawyer, Shannon, Tucker, Jessica, Timothy, Ian, Kason, Evelyn, Lily, Kodi Kay, Leelynn, and Willow, and one great-great granddaughter: Jordyn.
Juanita was a member of The Pentecostal Church where she served in various capacities during her life. She served as a school teacher at Northside Christian Academy and retired from Derrel Thomas Company. She was a light to all who knew her.
The family will visit with family and friends Friday April 25, 2025 at Lewis Funeral Chapel from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. A funeral service will be held Saturday April 26, 2025 at The Pentecostal Church at 10:00am with interment at Macedonia Cemetery in Pocola. Pallbearers will include Rev. Jared Polk, Caleb Polk, Jonathon Polk, Matthew Polk, Tucker Phillips, and
Grant Dunlap.
