Kenneth Lee Mounce

Kenneth Lee Mounce went to be with his heavenly Father on November 22, 2024. He was born December 21, 1943, to Oral Theodore and Irene Grace (Kimes) Mounce near the Graphic Community north of Alma, Arkansas. The family moved to Fort Smith when Kenneth was in the 6th grade. He graduated from Fort Smith High School in 1961. He attended West Ark Junior College and Draughan's Business College in Tulsa, OK. He enlisted in the Air National Guard. He was a four- striped staff sergeant when his 6-year enlistment ended in 1970. He worked as a Freight Rate Analyst for many truck lines and then worked for almost 40 years at Arkansas Industrial Traffic Association as a transportation consultant until retirement. 
His hobbies were hanging out with his sons and grandson, riding bicycles, tinkering with lawnmowers & tillers, fixing cars, and helping Kendall with his ranch. 
He became a Christian and was baptized in a revival with Kenneth Green in 1970. He attended Northside Baptist Church. He loved Sunday School where he could study and learn more about the Bible and listen to various preachers. 
Kenneth was preceded in death by his mother and father and older brother, Oral Wayne Mounce, who died at birth. He is survived by his wife of nearly 58 years, Jo Ann (Valentine) Mounce, his four sons: Kevin Lee; Barry Alan; Kendall Leighton; and Britt Arnold Kristopher Mounce; two grandchildren: Addison Jenna Mounce and Luke Hunter Mounce; and two daughters-in-law, Rebecca Mounce; and Carrie Mounce. He loved his family dearly and they loved him dearly. His favorite song was Al Di La. He will leave a void in the hearts of his loved ones.

A Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2024, at Lewis Funeral Chapel, located at 4817 Kelley Hwy in Fort Smith, AR, 72904. The Funeral Service will take place on at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, also at Lewis Funeral Chapel. Interment will take place following the Funeral Service at Pope Cemetery near the Graphic Community, located at 8524 Pope Road in Graphic, AR 72947. Brother Dewey Hickey is to officiate. Pallbearers will be Barry Alan, Britt Mounce, Kendall Leighton, and Luke Mounce.
