Khamphiou "Phiou" Daosaeng

Khamphiou "Phiou" Daosaeng, age 41, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Phiou was born on May 25, 1983, in Luang Prabang, Laos, to Houmphaeng and John Daosaeng.

Phiou was a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith, where she earned a degree in psychology. She worked as a Fraud Detection Analyst at Arvest Bank.

Her life was characterized by compassion, love, and unwavering faith. Phiou will be remembered for her radiant smile, her kindness, her generosity, and her willingness to always help others. She had a joyful spirit and loved spending time with children, bringing out the best in everyone around her. Phiou enjoyed traveling, taking road trips, and especially cherished time spent near the ocean.

Phiou was a devoted mother to her 9-year-old daughter, Gracie Slott, and a loving wife to her husband of 15 years, Matthew Slott, of Van Buren. She is also survived by her beloved son, Ethan Daosaeng, of Fort Smith. She leaves behind her loving parents, Houmphaeng and John Daosaeng, and her brother, Khamphuey Daosaeng, and his wife, Naphaphone Yatajao. Phiou is also survived by close cousins who were like sisters to her, Vankham Sayaphath and her husband, Chansouda Sihavong, and Gwen Sayaphath and her husband, Vilath Malathong.

Phiou is further survived by her in-laws: brothers-in-law, Micah Armagost and his wife; Alex, and Noah Armagost; sister-in-law, Alicia Reeves of Fayetteville; her mother-in-law, Cindy and Robert Martin of Mississippi; her father-in-law, Gary Slott of Van Buren; grandmother-in-law, Norma Mckaughan; and her grandfather-in-law, Bob Ferrari.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Lewis Funeral Chapel, located at 4817 Kelley Hwy, Fort Smith, AR 72904. A Christian Funeral Service, officiated by Mike Reeves, will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025. This will be followed by a Funeral Service led by the Lao Buddhist Association at 1:00 p.m., also at Lewis Funeral Chapel.
