Leeanne Marie Rapier

Leeanne Marie Rapier, age 58, passed away on January 17, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Born on December 20, 1967, in Akron, Ohio, she was the beloved daughter of Juanita Gayle Smith and the late Bobbie Smith.

Leeanne married the love of her life, Stuart Rapier, on August 21, 1987, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Together, they were blessed with many devoted years of marriage. A dedicated stay-at-home mother, Leeanne devoted her life to raising her children and caring for her home. She found joy in sewing, reading, and, most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and family. Leeanne was a woman of the Methodist faith and was raised in the Catholic Church.

She will be remembered as a woman whose laughter filled every room and whose love was a constant source of strength for her family.

Leeanne is survived by her mother, Juanita Gayle Smith; her loving husband, Stuart Rapier; two children, Brandon Rapier and Brittni Chitwood; six cherished grandchildren—three grandsons, Logan, Jacob, and Jaxon, and three granddaughters, Madyson, Lilliana, and Aela; and her siblings, Belinda Smith, Melvin Smith, and Vance Smith.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bobbie Smith; her stepson, Beau Rapier; and her sister, Patti (Smith) Nichols.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, with a Rosary from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., officiated by Deacon Kuehl of Immaculate Conception Church. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Fort Smith National Cemetery, officiated by Roy Rogers and Terry Fimple. Services are entrusted to Lewis Funeral Chapel.
