Lloyd Clarkson (Jr.) Combs

Lloyd Clarkson Combs Jr., age 70, peacefully entered his heavenly home on April 10, 2025. He was born on September 2, 1954, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Lloyd C. Combs Sr. and Doris Jean Martin Dixon. Lloyd graduated from a Technical high school and went on to serve his country with honor in the United States Army. He later pursued a career in hospitality, where his warm spirit and dedication to service touched many lives. Lloyd’s unwavering faith was a cornerstone of his life. He found great strength and joy in his church community at Faith Unlimited, where he was a beloved member. Known for his love of grilling and his generous heart, Lloyd was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd C. Combs Sr.

He is lovingly remembered by his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Dixon; his four children, Shawanda Combs, Acazia Boykins, Destiny Baskin and husband Ladarius, and D'Andre Andrews; his six cherished grandchildren: Janae Combs, Chanclee Boykins, Jayce Boykins, Kaitee Boykins, Hailsey Boykins, and Logan Baskins; and his six siblings: Claudia, LaDell, Stephen, Paulette, Johnny, and Bruce. He is also survived by his dear friend and caregiver, Danese Andrews, along with a host of extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Unlimited Church, located at 3514 Kinkead Ave in Fort Smith, AR 72903. Pastor Darryl Conley is to officiate. A Repass will take place following the services at 2107 Brazil Ave in Fort Smith, AR 72908. Cremation and services are under the care of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
