Loretta Louise (Perkins) Rutherford

Loretta Louise Rutherford, lovingly known as Retta or Memaw, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2025.

Loretta was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Leroy Thomas and Geneva Kathleen (Lindenfelser) Perkins. A talented cosmetologist, she found great joy in her work, especially in styling hair and doing nails. Loretta was known for her generous spirit, kind heart, and unwavering love as a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Lacy Jo Ann Rutherford-Milam; her cherished grandchildren, Ashanti Geneva Rutherford, Aiyanna Rutherford, and Allijah Dwight Rutherford; and her great-grandson, Ruben M. Godinez. She is also survived by her sister, Tammy Noblitt, and husband Kenneth; her nieces and nephews: Kenneth Noblitt, Jessica Noblitt, Nichol Noblitt, Randy Long and wife Sylvia, the great Nephews and Great Nieces Mason Goines, and Warren Goines, Vanessa Noblitt, Kindel Noblitt, and Ryan Lester.

Loretta was preceded in death by her loving parents, Leroy and Geneva Perkins; her husband, Mark D. Milam; her son, Ashley Allen Rutherford; and her Great nephew, Miles Goines.

In accordance with Loretta’s wishes, no services will be held at this time. Cremation is under the care of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
