Margaret Ann Rush

Margaret Ann Rush, age 83, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Arkansas Extended Care Facility in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born July 18, 1941 in Arkansas to the late Melice Joe Sharp and Anna Bell (Trotter) Sharp. After graduating High School, Margaret went on to hold a successful career at Kaiser Hospital in California. In her free time, she loved rummaging through yard sales, trips to the casino, going for long drives, and eating dinner with her friends. Margaret was a people person, and she never met a stranger. She had a fiery personality, much like her favorite color, red. As a woman of faith, Margaret enjoyed attending church with her beloved friends, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. 

Margaret is survived by her longtime neighbors and dear friends, Gretchen and Billy Jack Bascue of Midland, Arkansas; numerous honorary grandchildren, including Tisha Davis, Samuel Bascue, and Matthew Bascue; many honorary great-grandchildren, including Colton Bascue, who held a special place in her heart; among numerous friends and loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Tommie James Rush; her sons, John Huber and Tommie James Rush Jr.; and her brothers, Jim Sharp and Paul Joe Sharp.

Cremation is under the thoughtful direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
