Martha Sue (Perceful) Slate

Martha Sue Slate, of Roland, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on April 14, 2026. She was born on November 7, 1933, and lived a life devoted to her family, her faith, and her community.

Martha married her beloved husband, Harold Bell Slate, in Stillwell, Oklahoma, on May 20, 1961. She was a dedicated homemaker who found great joy in caring for others. She lovingly spent her time babysitting and nurturing not only her own family but also many nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart. Her kindness, warmth, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was a faithful member of Roland Church of Christ, where she found strength and fellowship throughout her life.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Lona Perceful; her sisters, Lenna Henson, Melba Prewett, and Mary Turner Allison; and her brothers, Cleno Perceful, Earl Perceful, and Raymond Perceful.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Harold Slate; her son, Patrick Slate; numerous nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Janet Slate and Marilyn Davis; and many other relatives and dear friends who will cherish her memory.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 20, at Roland Church of Christ, with burial to follow at Roland City Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Lewis Funeral Chapel.
