Mary Joyce Caudill

Mary Joyce Caudill, 84, passed away on January 23, 2025. Born on August 3, 1940, she was the cherished daughter of Marie Cunningham. Throughout her life, Joyce was dedicated to helping others—whether as a compassionate nurse, a tireless volunteer, or through the unwavering love and care she gave to her family. She devoted countless hours to the C.A.S.A. Association, advocating for and supporting children who had suffered neglect and abuse. A proud member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Smith, Mary found comfort and joy in her church community. Some of her most treasured memories were made while traveling with her late husband. In her free time, Joyce enjoyed reading, sewing, and preparing home-cooked meals for her loved ones. Above all, she was a devoted mother and grandmother, and her legacy of kindness, service, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. 

Joyce is survived by her three children; Lisa Boyd, Cindy McKnius, Deb Rogers; one grandson, Brodie Boyd; a brother, Jerry Poore; and a sister, Peggy Shaffer.

Joyce is preceded in passing by her loving mother Marie Cunningham; her beloved husband Gilbert Caudill; and her son in law, Chris Boyd Jr. 

The family has elected to have a private family funeral service and ask that in lieu of flowers you make a donations to C.A.S.A. or Arkansas Colleges of Health Education.
