Melissa Renee (Lingerfelt) Murry

Melissa Renee Murry, age 38, Passed away at her home in Charleston, Arkansas, on May 13, 2025. She was born on January 24, 1987, in Clarksville, Arkansas, Melissa was the beloved daughter to Jeff Lingerfelt and Randy and Brenda (English) Phillips.

Melissa was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was the heart of the home—always present, always putting the needs of her loved ones before her own. Melissa found joy in creating warmth and comfort, often through the delicious meals she lovingly prepared. In quieter moments, she enjoyed drawing and expressing her creativity through art. Music held a special place in her heart, and she often shared meaningful songs with those she loved, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Melissa will be deeply missed by countless family and friends.

Melissa is survived by her soul mate and cherished husband of 20 years, Scott Murry; her three beloved children, Kaden Murry, Shyla Murry, and Jasper Murry, all of the home; her beloved mother Brenda Phillips and Father Randy; Two brothers, Steven Allred and wife Kaylee, Tyler Allred ans wife Destiny; two sisters, Jessica Lingerfelt, Shanda Phillips and husband Sam; a close family friend, Lee Myers. "Aunt Sassa" also leaves behind numerous nieces and Nephews.

Melissa is preceded in passing by her father Jeff Lingerfelt; one sister, Brandy Harris; and her grandparents, Kenneth and Sue English.

There will be a visitation held on Friday, May 16, 2025, form 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Chapel, Located at 4817 Kelley Highway, Fort Smith, Arkansas. The funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the same location, Officiated by Sandra Wiggins. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Stephen Allred, Tyler Allred, Braxton Pruitt, Devin Pruitt, Sam Jackson, Chris Wathall, Kaden Murry, and Jasper Murry. Honorary pallbearers include, Elijah Aldrich, Lee Myers, Michael Lingerfelt, Jimmy Lingerfelt, Mike Minor, Keith Allred, Gary English, Keven Whightsil, and Brandon Whightsil. Arrangements are entrusted to Lewis Funeral Chapel.
