Michael "Mike" Wayne McDonald

Michael “Mike” Wayne McDonald, 51, passed away peacefully at his home in Greenwood, Arkansas, on Thursday, January 16, 2025. Born on September 28, 1973, in Modesto, California, Mike was a cherished son of Elizabeth (Paugh) McDonald and Wayne McDonald.

A proud graduate of Modesto High School, Mike built a life filled with love and purpose. He married his soulmate, Deanna LaFrance, and together they created a lifetime of cherished memories. Mike had a passion for creativity and hands-on hobbies, spending countless hours installing stereos, playing with RC cars, and tinkering in his garage. He will be dearly missed by a host of family and friends. 

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Deanna LaFrance, of the home; two children, Aja LaFrance (28) and spouse Tyler Riles; and Jade McDonald (20) and spouse Ryan Medina; five grandchildren, Carsyn (10), Stryker (9), Kynzley (8), Payzley (3), and Suttyn (3 months); two siblings, Michelle Hutchins and spouse Jason; and Eric McDonald; nephews, Jaydon and Cody; niece, Kaydence; mother-in-law, Charletta LaFrance; and his beloved grand-doggy, Sophie.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and Wayne McDonald; his dogs, Shelbee and Cheyenne; and his grandmother, Cleo Paugh. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 1, 2025 in Modesto, California. Cremation is under the thoughtful direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
