Monnie Davidson Jr. Obituary

Monnie W. Davidson Jr., age 54, passed away on June 25, 2026, in Mountainburg, Arkansas. He was born on December 18, 1971, in Van Buren, Arkansas, to Ann (Barker) Davidson and Monty Davidson.

Monnie was a proud graduate of Van Buren High School. In his free time, he enjoyed watching college football and was a devoted fan of both the Arkansas Razorbacks and Notre Dame. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found his greatest peace while fishing, camping, or hunting. An avid animal lover with a kind heart, he cherished the companionship of every animal he welcomed into his life.

A man of the Catholic faith, Monnie will be remembered as a loving and supportive father to his three beautiful daughters.

He is survived by his parents, Ann and Monty Davidson; his three beloved daughters, Sydney Davidson, Madeline Davidson, and Kirsten Davidson; his sister, Tammy Sowells; his nephew, Zaccheus Sowells; his nieces, Ariane Gonzalez, Cassidy Welch, and Gracelyn Sowells; his aunts, Cindy Bryant and Cindy Barker; and his uncle, Ronnie Barker.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Billy Fae Barker and Dorothy Mae Barker; his brother, Travis Davidson; his nephew, Travis "Bub" Davidson; his cousin, Barbie Barker; and his uncle, Bill Williams.

Visitation and a Rosary Service will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith. The funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Oak Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tommy Tran, Eric Ramirez, Alex Karlander, and Zaccheus Sowells.
