Oleta Armer Obituary

Oleta Armer, 79, of Roland, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Pocola Health & Rehab. Born on April 10, 1945, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Oleta was a beloved daughter of Climon and Opal (Walter) Armer. She dedicated many years of hard work to Whirlpool before retiring. Outside of work, she found joy in tending to her flower garden, appreciating the peace and beauty it brought her. She also enjoyed puzzle books, but above all, she cherished spending time with her family. Oleta especially loved when her grandchildren would visit, sharing laughter and pizza together. Family reunions, holiday gatherings, and birthday celebrations were some of her most treasured moments.

A woman of Baptist faith, Oleta attended church when her health allowed. In her younger years, she had a passion for traveling and making memories along the way. She will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, who held a special place in her heart for her great-grandbabies.

Oleta is survived by her children, Dana Kelley and husband Steve, and Kevin Benge and wife Rita, all of Roland, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Telitha McMurray and husband Clayton, Dakotah Benge and fiancé Liza; Ryan Kelley and wife Candice, and Tyler Kelley and wife Kenley; and her adored great-grandchildren, Lynnli Benge, Hawk Kelley, Eva McMurray, and Hollis Kelley. She also leaves behind her brother, James Armer and wife Chris; five sisters, Melvena Thurman, Lula Bates, Lessie Rogers and husband Steve, Tressie Long, and Lola Matthews; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Climon and Opal Armer; her sisters, Louise Edwards and Mayvena Armer; her brothers, Leonard Armer, William Armer, L.G. Armer, and Harold Armer; her grandson, Steven Kelley; and her great-granddaughter, Hagan Kelley. Oleta's legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
