Oliver Dewitt Mills

Oliver Dewitt Mills, 30, passed away on February 3, 2025. Born in Houston, Texas, he was the cherished son of Joelena (Smith) Schmidt and Wayne Everly.

Oliver had a deep love for the outdoors. He found joy in fishing and biking, and he especially valued the time spent with his friends and playing pool. His kind and vibrant spirit will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dewitt and Florence Burns, his aunt Cindy Ross, and his uncle Oliver Burns; nephew Richard (Ricky) Smith Jr.

Oliver is survived by his loving mother, Joelena Schmidt, his father, Wayne Everly, and his siblings: Richard Schmidt, Troy and Sierra Mills, Douglas Everly, and Sylvia Everly. He also leaves behind two aunts, Florence Skinner and Dorothy, two uncles, Rick Smith Sr. and Ronnie McGowan, and his beloved grandmother, Pearl Ross.

The family will be honoring Oliver’s memory without a service at this time. Cremation has been entrusted to Lewis Funeral Chapel
