Patrick Alan Megehee, 59, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024. He was born February 23, 1965 in Stilwell, Oklahoma, to Frances Scott (née Warnock) and Charles Robert Megehee.
Patrick was a passionate, multi-award-winning Photojournalist/Storm Chaser and Audio & Light Technician whose career spanned more than three decades. Most recently, he worked with Channel 40/29 News & Weather. Known for his dedication to his craft and his compassionate nature, Patrick found joy in capturing the world around him through photography, chasing storms, and spending time in nature. He also enjoyed music, attending concerts, cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks, and especially cherishing moments with his family and friends. His quick wit and humorous spirit were a source of light to many who knew him.
Patrick is survived by his mother, Frances Scott, and stepfather, Robert Rowlett of Barling, Arkansas; daughters Tawny Megehee of Muskogee, OK, Kaylene Macias and daughter-in-law Tillie Macias of Moore, OK, and Mysti Megehee of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren Avery Cochran of Durant, OK, Brendan Straut and Axel Sanders of Muskogee, OK, and Zander Megehee and Allyson Carr of Moore, OK. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Robert Megehee, grandparents, William and Jeanetta Warnock, and grandson Brayden John Straut.
