Patrick Allan Torrey

Patrick Allan Torrey, age 52, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, October 26, 2024. Born November 24, 1971, in Cortland, New York, he was a beloved son of Barbara (Rathbun) Torrey and Edward Torrey. Patrick was a proud graduate of Northside High School, and he went on to attend the New Life Church School of Ministry. He spent his working days as a skilled Foreman and Service Writer for Utility Tri-State. On February 4, 2018, Patrick married the love of his life, Elesa (Moore) Torrey. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and two dogs. Patrick could often be found serving the community as a dedicated member of New Life Church, coaching baseball, watching football, dirt track racing, fishing, or traveling anywhere at any time with his beloved wife, Elesa. He will be remembered as a man who loved the Lord, and who loved others like Jesus. Patrick gave his all in all areas of life, and he did it all for the glory of God. His greatest treasure on earth was his wife, his children, his grandchildren, and all his extended family and friends. 

Patrick is survived by his wife, Elesa Torrey of Fort Smith, Arkansas; three children, Justin Torrey and wife Hannah Torrey of Springdale, Arkansas; Jordan Torrey and wife Kristin Torrey of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; and Timmothy Houston and fiance Francisca Gonzalez of Springdale, Arkansas; five grandchildren; his parents, Edward and Barbara Torrey of Fort Smith, Arkansas; his brother, Michael Torrey and wife Ashley Torrey of West Fork, Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Paul and Martha Rathbun; and his paternal grandparents, Avery and Jenny Torrey. 

Visitation will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Lewis Funeral Chapel, located at 4817 Kelley Hwy in Fort Smith, Arkansas 72904. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at New Life Church, located at 9000 Dallas Street in Fort Smith, Arkansas 72903. There will be a meal following the service at Cedarville First Assembly, located at 9530 N Hwy 59 in Cedarville, AR 72932. Phillip McClure and Brandon Cotten are to officiate. Honorary Pallbearers will be Justin Torrey, Jordan Torrey, Timmothy Houston, Michael Torrey, Talvin Hayes, and Jerry Moore. Services are entrusted to Lewis Funeral Chapel.
