Patsy Ruth (Chaffin) Jones

On September 28, 2024 we lost a true matriarch of our family. Patsy Ruth Jones, age 88, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024 with her loving family by her side. Throughout her life, Patsy dedicated herself to her family, instilling values of love, acceptance, and resilience. She had the unique ability to see the good in everyone and offered comfort and encouragement to all. Her non-judgmental spirit created a safe haven for family and friends, making her home a welcoming place filled with warmth and laughter. A true beacon of love and kindness, Patsy touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her and her memory will be cherished forever.

Patsy Ruth Jones was preceded in death by her loving husband Otis Ray Jones of sixty-nine years, father Maurice Chaffin, mother Dovie Knox Chaffin, daughter Ann Robertson, sisters Norma Lee Childers and Edith Gregory, brothers Charlie Chaffin, Bill Chaffin, and Harold Dean Chaffin

She is survived by daughters Rosalyn Edens, spouse Marvin of Chandler, TX; Kim Dobbs, spouse Marcus of Mineola, TX; Connie Lovejoy, spouse Curtis of Midlothian TX; Her brothers James Chaffin and spouse Thelma of Valley View, Texas, Melvin Chaffin and spouse Patricia(deceased) of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Tommy Chaffin of Van Buren, Arkansas, Doyle Chaffin and spouse Monica Denton, Texas, and sister Sue Hopkins of Van Buren. Pat has 13 Grandchildren; Cody Enis, spouse Mary of Lawton, OK; Charles Hyde of Mineola, TX; Annaca Harrison, spouse Chris of Ponder, TX; Jamie Davis, spouse Kevin of Frost, TX; Ashley Norton of Midlothian TX, Chasity Clark, spouse Ryan of Midlothian, TX; Jenny Dickerson of Granbury, TX; Curtis Lovejoy Jr. of Alvarado, TX; Matt Edens, spouse Lauren of North Richland Hills, TX; Chad Edens, spouse Diann of Keller, TX; Timothy Dobbs of Hawkins, TX; Chelsea Oliver of Alba, TX; Andy Hudgins, spouse Terra of Vilonia, AR; 21 great grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
