Paula Jean Saucedo

Paula Jean Saucedo, age 74, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was born on December 8, 1951, in Tulare, California to Dewey Tacker and Patricia "Patsy" Birch.

Paula attended Crowder College in Missouri, where she earned her Associate's Degree. It was also in Missouri that she married the love of her life, Daniel Saucedo. Together they shared 35 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and countless adventures.

Throughout her career, Paula worked as a waitress at Denny's for many years. She truly loved her job and found great joy in meeting new people and forming friendships with those she served.

A naturally creative person, Paula loved spending her free time crocheting blankets and quilts. She enjoyed all kinds of crafts and took delight in collecting stuffed teddy bears. She also had a lifelong love for animals, especially cats, dogs, and wolves. Among her many beloved pets, her rescued Chihuahua, Monster Mouse—a special gift from her brother—held a particularly cherished place in her heart.

Paula was a woman of faith whose personality left a lasting impression on everyone she met. While she could seem a bit gruff at first, those who took the time to know her quickly discovered a generous and compassionate woman who would gladly give the shirt off her back to someone in need. She had a playful, flirtatious spirit, and she and Daniel enjoyed making memories together over the years, whether visiting favorite swimming spots in California or exploring the shops at Silver Dollar City in Missouri.

Above all, Paula will be remembered for her loving heart, her forgiving nature, and the deep love she shared with her family and friends.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Daniel Saucedo; her four children, including Leany "Lonnie" and Claudette; her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Iris; and her mother-in-law, Rosie.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Patsy Birch; her father, Dewey Tacker; her sister, Patricia; and her brother, Jeffrey Clay Miller.

Cremation arrangements are under the thoughtful direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
