Peggy Diane (Cooper) Bennett

Peggy Diane Bennett, age 66, entered the arms of her heavenly Father on November 6, 2024. Born on July 17, 1958, in Bernice, Louisiana, Peggy was a cherished daughter of Monroe and Audrey (Jordan) Cooper. A dedicated and valued employee of First National Bank, she spent 27 years serving the Fort Smith community. On January 8, 1980, Peggy married her beloved husband, Tony Bennett, with whom she shared 44 wonderful years.

Peggy’s love for nature and the outdoors was evident in her passion for camping and exploring God’s creation. She was also a devoted Christian, whose kindness and faith left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Peggy will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Tony Bennett; her sons, Bradley Alan, and Chase Everett Bennett; and her sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Bill Waltz of Rustin, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe and Audrey Cooper. Peggy’s cremation is under the compassionate care of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
