Pete Iemsisanith, age 53, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away peacefully in his home on January 5, 2026. He was born on July 8, 1972, in Laos.
Pete earned a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and was known for his intelligence, dedication, and strong work ethic. In his free time, Pete enjoyed watching movies, cheering on his favorite sports teams, and savoring seafood. He especially loved karaoke, traveling, and discovering good food. A true Dr Pepper enthusiast, Pete found happiness in life’s simple pleasures and shared them generously with others.
A practicing Buddhist, Pete lived with kindness, compassion, and humility. He will be remembered as an amazing and devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose love for his family defined his life. He was a man whose warmth and humor left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He is survived by his mother, Chantima Iemsisanith of California; his beloved spouse, Noak Souvandy of Fort Smith, Arkansas; and his children: Timothy, Athena, Naython, Athalia, and stepchildren Jennifer, Austin, and Anneliese. Pete was a proud grandfather to Mason and Russell, who brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his siblings Nikki, Tina, Tisha, and Diana, as well as other loved family members, including Christian, Dakota, and Saiyan, along with many dear friends.
A blessing service will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Chapel. Services will take place on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers will be Trung, Austin, and Gavin. Services entrusted to Lewis Funeral Chapel.
