Rhonda Lea (Morse) Huckey

Rhonda Lea (Morse) Huckey, 84, of Mountainburg, Arkansas, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on April 24, 2026. She was born January 19, 1942, in Dyer, Arkansas. She loved God and her family with all of her heart. Rhonda enjoyed singing—especially solos—in the church choir, going to the Mountainburg Senior Inn to play BINGO, and spending time with friends at home. Some of her other favorite pastimes included working puzzles, playing games on her tablet, and watching Gunsmoke on TV. She was always happy when she had the chance to go camping and spend time outdoors. Rhonda was a seamstress who also crocheted items and made quilts for her family.

Rhonda is survived by her son, Rex and wife Kristi Huckey of Cabot, AR; her daughter, Vonda and husband Gary Carter of Mountainburg, AR; her brother, Eugene Morse of Van Buren, AR; three grandchildren, Wesley and wife Morgan Huckey of Winthrop, ME, Shawn and wife Alison Huckey of Cabot, AR, and Ashley Powers of Fort Smith, AR; seven great-grandchildren, Waylon and Easton Huckey of Cabot, AR, Jayde, Emmeline, and Lucy Huckey of Winthrop, ME, and Salem and Onyx Powers of Fort Smith, AR; as well as many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Frank E. Huckey; her father, Lester Ray Morse; her mother, Mary (Jean) Morse; her brother, Danny Morse; and two sisters, Linda Wheaton and Wanda Morse.

Open viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith. The funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at Calvary Church, located at 3235 N Hwy 71, Alma, AR 72921. Interment will follow the service at Dyer Cemetery in Dyer, Arkansas. Pastor Tim Russell will officiate, with pallbearers being Roger Huckey, Gary Carter, Brent Carter, Jason Mendez, Jayden Mendez, and Bryant Sizemore. Honorary pallbearer is Earl Christian. Services are entrusted to Lewis Funeral Chapel.
