Ricky Goines Obituary

Reverend Ricky D. Goines, age 55, passed away peacefully in his home on November 16, 2025, in Van Buren, Arkansas. Born July 19, 1970, in Fort Smith, he was a cherished son of Elzie Leon Goines and Dottie Sue (Kimes) Pierce.

Ricky was a proud graduate of Alma High School. Answering a lifelong calling, he became an ordained minister and spent 25 years serving as an evangelist with the Arkansas District Pentecostal Church of God. Though he often kept to himself, Ricky deeply cherished every moment spent with his great-nieces and great-nephews. He had a passion for politics, faithfully kept up with the latest MAGA news, and rarely missed a message from his favorite televangelist, Jimmy Swaggart.

Ricky brought laughter wherever he went and will be remembered as a devoted man of God, a loving family man, and the best “Bubba” to his nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his brother, Billy Goines and wife Tara; his half-siblings, Amanda Caraway and Lester Nuckolls; his niece, Erica Holloway and husband Jarvis; his nephew, Dustin Goines and wife Melissa; his favorite aunt and uncle, Stella and Frank Hubbard; and his beloved great-nieces and great-nephews, Rhett, AddiBelle, and Dawson Holloway; Jeremiah Dasher; and Gracie, Taylor, and Dallas Goines.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Elzie Goines and Dottie Pierce; his beloved grandparents, Reverend Leon and Edna Goines; and his aunt, Connie Ritter.
Cremation is under the thoughtful direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
