Sandra "Sandy" Rose Seiter, 71, of Barling, Arkansas, passed away on March 16, 2026, in Barling. She was born on November 15, 1954, in Van Buren, Arkansas, to Alphonse "Al" Seiter and Olevia (Schluterman) Seiter.
Sandy grew up in a loving family and graduated from St. Anne's High School in 1972. She continued her education at Westark College. She spent her career as a loyal and dependable bookkeeper, retiring from St. Scholastica after 45 years of service.
Sandy enjoyed all kinds of music, movies, and the Arkansas Razorbacks. Her quick wit and sharp mind were well-known among those who loved her. Her sisters proudly say that she was the smartest of the four girls.
She is survived by her sisters: Kay (Robert) Dewitt, Allene (the late Rick) Lux, and Suzy (Jim) Brotherton; her nieces and nephews: Amanda Goldsmith, Jennifer (Kevin) Johnson, Trayce (Andrew) Byron, Keith Lux, and Jimmy (Darcy)Brotherton; and ten great-nieces and great-nephews who brought joy to her life.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law.
A Rosary will be prayed at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 23, 2026, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.,all at Immaculate Conception Church in Fort Smith. The service will be officiated by Father John Antony and Deacon Greg Pair . A lunch reception will follow in the church hall, and all are welcome to attend.
